Chopsticks

 

Grandma Y. would love this.  Ari enjoys using chopsticks.  She does a pretty good job as well.  It was sticky rice, but she can also use chopsticks to pick up noodles.  I love my little Asian Baby.

On Top of the World

Ari loves going to the carpet store. She gets to walk on top of all the rugs.  She told me she is on top of the world.  It doesn't worry me like it worries the guys working in the shop.  She also loves to jump off the top into our arms. 

First Hair Cut...

Don't mind my crazy face, I am not sure what I was doing.   Well, Ari got her first hair cut.  We just trimmed the ends to help it to continue growing healthy.  Ari insisted sitting on my lap, other than that she was wonderful.  She let the cute girl cut her hair and sat so still.  Daddy kept her entertained.  I can't believe she is growing up so fast.

 Ari can't miss out on any of the fun.  She insisted on trying to climb the rock wall.  She was very persistent and wouldn't give up until she climbed until daddy could no longer reach to help her.  We were quite surprised that she understood the concept of what to do.  She would tell Bryan what she needed to move next, whether it was a hand or foot.

Family Home Evening Bowling Night

 For Family Home Evening one night we went bowling with a group of friends.  Bryan shared a message we bowled and ate pizza.  It was a fun night.  Ari loved bowling.  She would get so excited. I tried to capture her excitement, but the picture was blurry.  Next time I will take video  Thanks to our friends Santha, Hannah and Craig for joining us for a fun night.  BTW Ari bowled almost as well as Daddy did.

4th of July

We kinda forgot to take pictures of the celebration. Bryan and I played in a volleyball tournament and took first while our good friends took care of Ari.  Ari enjoyed a water slide and lots of yummy good.  No fireworks. I don't know if they are permitted in Bahrain.

I LOVE Shoes!

 

I think we are in trouble. She not only likes to wear our shoes around the house, but she loves her own shoes.  Every time we go to the NEX on base she goes straight for the shoes and starts trying them on by herself.  

What Happened???

Little note that Ari actually fell off the bed while laying next to daddy and hit the nightstand.  Later this week she also bumped her other eye on the ottoman.

This year we took Ari to the base Easter Egg Hunt. Bryan had to work but was able to join us. I think Ari was a little overwhelmed There were lots of kids and they combined 1-5. She was able to get a couple eggs and that was fine with her. She also won a special stuffed animal. They had lots of activities for the kids. She enjoyed the slide again, but she really liked the pony rides. She went a couple times.

After all the turmoil in Bahrain this was a much needed concert. Toby Keith was very down to earth and put on a fantastic concert. He made you feel like you knew him personally. Ari had a good time dancing to the music. She put on her own show for everyone sitting or standing by us. I think I like concerts like this. The concert was held in the court yard of our main entertainment building. We got their just after the show started and still got a good spot. We were able to enjoy dinner while listening to the music.

The next day we ran into Toby Keith while heading to the softball field. I thanked him for a great concert and he reached down and kissed Ari's hand and thanked us for serving our Country.

Ari's Birthday Party

I know I am way past due, but I use the blog as a family journal so I need to post this event.

Ari was spoiled by so many kind friends. We held Ari's birthday party at the bowling center on base. We were able to have two inflatables at the party. The birthday theme was Elmo and Friends. We had Elmo's favorite food pizza and Elmo cupcakes. I think the adults had as much fun as Ari playing on all the inflatables. Thanks for our wonderful friends for spoiling Ari and helping us clean up after.
